Questions you may have:
What is matcha?
Matcha is a type of green tea that is made from young tea leaves that were ground into fine bright green powder. You add the matcha powder directly to your tea, rather than steeping them in a bag.
Matcha contains higher amounts of antioxidants and caffeine, and since the leaves are grounded into a fine powder, you get all the nutrients in your tea.
What is the benefit of drinking matcha?
- Matcha has cancer-fighting effects on the body because it contains a class of antioxidants called catechins.
- It helps prevents heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer.
- Matcha also encourages weight loss.
- Matcha can also boost metabolism.
Can I make this hot?
Yes, I made this a cold drink, but try making it hot, especially with macadamia nut milk! It’s delicious without any sweetener!
Does it have to be macadamia nut milk?
You can make this Matcha latte with any milk. Zach’s favorite is oat milk, but with the macadamia nut milk, it gives the drink that smooth macadamia nut flavor that you get when you eat a Hawaiian Host Matcha Macs (minus the white chocolate flavor :P).
