Hello everyone, it has been a while. Many things happened last year, which led me not to post as often as I would like. I want to focus more on blogging and Youtube. I learned that those two are the best avenue for someone who enjoys taking food photos. My biggest roadblock last year was editing, planning, and marketing. For this month, I hope to get in the mood of day blocking my tasks such as recipe testing, content creation, and a day or two to figure out all of the above.

How to Make a Bulletproof Coffee Chocolate Smoothie:
I remember when I used to be a barista. Whenever it’s the new year, customers always order a bulletproof coffee because the MCT oil help boost brain and memory functions. Like them, I started drinking bulletproof coffee too, and then I was introduced to the smoothie version.
I had a version of the smoothie from a health and wellness cafe called Sunrise Shack. It was very delicious and it’s a great way to get your coffee fix and breakfast all in one. Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
Frozen banana
Cacao powder
MCT oil
Ghee butter
One shot of espresso
Almond milk
Garnish: Almond flakes and cacao nibs
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add garnish. Serve immediately.

Why is it called bulletproof Coffee?
This is a good question, and I had to look it up as well :P. This is the website that explains why it’s called bulletproof coffee.
What is the serving size?
It is 16 oz. I think the perfect amount for a breakfast smoothie and since bananas are carbs and can help fill you up.
What is MCT oil?
MCT oil stands for medium-chain triglycerides. It is a type of fat found in coconut oil. It is a great supplement you can use to mix with your beverages and smoothies.
What is Ghee butter?
It is clarified butter, and it’s famous for its grassy and nutty flavor.
How to supercharge this Bulletproof Coffee Chocolate Smoothie?
Another way I like to make this smoothie is by adding peanut butter and Chaga powder. It takes the smoothie to a whole new level, and you double up with all the superfood ingredients, giving you a very hearty breakfast smoothie.

- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp MCT oil
- 1/2 tbsp ghee butter
- 1 shot espresso
- 1/2 cups almond milk
- optional: chaga powder
